Prime Tyme Bound!

Chloe had her very first gymnastics lesson today, and I want to make sure that I document some pictures of my rising star! She is going to be taking "tumbling" at Prime Tyme Athletics. It is a tumbling/cheerleading gym. Yes...maybe I am brainwashing her a bit by surrounding her by competitive cheerleaders, but I am fully aware, and will not force her to do anything she does not love...luckily for me, she loves it so far!

On the way, she was all smiles and ready to tumble!

She walks into the gym poised and confident...and cute as a button if I say so myself!

Time to stretch, we don't want to pull a hammy....it could ruin her career!

I do not have any more pictures, because I went to the viewing area...I did not want to distract my gymnast. However, she had a blast. We are going to wait until dance is over to pursue this weekly, but she loves it so far.

Stay Tuned!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Chloe had a FABULOUS Birthday Party. She is still talking about it. She got so many wonderful gifts, but one that I could have just died over was from her friend Connell.

I mean...he know my girl!

They have the cutest pink, teddy bear, pedicure chairs and Chloe was loving life.

She picked out two colors, one hot pink, and of course she needed a purple glitter to go on top. After her nails were fdone she was showing them off!

Chloe wanted to get my camera so that she could take a picture of my toes too...she was so proud of herself, which is the ONLY reason I am posting this picture.

After she got that picture, she lined our shoes up next to each other so that she could take a picture of our shoes. She was so excited, she wanted to take a picture of everything.

After we were finished getting our pedicures/manicures, we had a lunch date. After changing her mind 750 times, she finally went back to her first choice of Mexican. She said, "I suppose I will have quesadilla, rice, and cheese dip."

And that is exactly what she got! I am quite certain that the two of us will have many more pedicures, and lunch days together. If I am lucky, we will! I love days with my baby girl, they are the best!

Singing the Night Away....

Well....finally! After over a year of going to BYCC, I finally convinced K that we should go to Karaoke night. Well, I didn't exactly convince him, but I made plans with some other friends and told him we were going. What made it even easier to get him there was the fact that for $10, they were offering on-site childcare, so he really had no excuses.

We had dinner, karaoke, and a great time. Here is a picture of Ben and Ashley, who were part of our party.....

And here I am with Ashley.

For those of you who know me...you know that I did NOT sing. I am too shy for that. But guess who did?

YES HE DID!! I am not surprised though. He "thinks" he sounds good. Fortunately for him, most of the people there had some sauce in their systems, so they just cheered him on!

However, K decided to go downstairs and check on the kids, and what he "says" he saw was a bunch of unsupervised kids. Now, I heard from another source that the kids were playing games and watching movies. Needless to say, K was ready to leave after just one song! Funny thing is, he told me later that karaoke is not as easy when you haven't had a couple drinks to loosen you up :)

We went down to get Chloe, and she was not happy because she wanted to stay and watch Toy Story, but she is a daddy's girl, so he easily convinced her that we could watch it at home. We did have a fun night with friends!

Bike Day!

Chloe had a "Bike Parade" at her school the Friday after President's Day. Just close your eyes and imagine what you think a "Bike Parade" consists of.....now open them. Anything and everything you imagined a "Bike Parade" to be was wrong. Toss your patriotic visions of red, white, and blue dressed kids, orderly bikes/trikes in a line OUT THE WINDOW.

It was nothing like that.

Apparently, the parade was more like open play. I was out of town and I had the cutest Red/White/Blue smocked outfit all laid out and ready to go. Tricycle was already at school. And helmet was borrowed...thanks Sarah! By the way, on a sidenote, is it really necessary to wear a helmet when you are on a tricycle? At Chloe's school no helmet=no bike parade. WHATEVER! I am not even sure how we survived growing up riding big wheels, tricycles, and bikes without helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads. Give me a break.

Back to my story....the "Parade" was not a "Parade". It was more like a bunch of kids riding around and burning a bunch of energy while patriotic music played.

And here is the only picture I have from it!

Next year I will not stress so much if I am not going to be in town on the day of the "Bike Parade."

My Favorite Chloe-isms!

There are so many things that I am loving about Chloe right now! Of course, I know that we are biased, but this post is pretty much for our Family Memories! Here are some things that Chloe is doing and saying right now that we do not want to forget!

1) She says the same prayer every night! "Dear God, Thank You for this day and for this food, and for everything you give us!" And if she is trying to stall she will look around and thank Him for everything in sight!

2) She calls dessert, PIZZERT!

3) Her favorite places to eat are "Mexican", "Red Robin", or the "Chunchly Club (Country Club/Bluegrass)"

4)She calls her school Pope John Paul, even though she goes to Davidson Acedemy!

5) She is so high maintenance, and loved mani/pedis so much she will look at her nails and say "My nails are Crazy!"

6) K and I often say "Chloe you look like a hot mess" and the other day she said "My hair looks Hot Like a Mess!"

7) She just learned all of her identification skills (Phone number, address, and birthday)

8) She hates to wash her hair

9) SHe has slept with the same pillow since she was a baby, and will not go to sleep without it! Her Dora Pillow

10) she takes a lunchable in her lunchbox almost everyday. She LOVES those things!

11) She loves to go to church, and cries if we do not go!

12) She told me the other day, "Mommy, no matter how old I get I will always be your baby. Cause me and you and daddy are best friends forever!"

And on that note...I will stop! For Now!

It's My Party....I can do what I want to!

And...she wanted her party at My Gym! And might I add that it was AMAZING. All we had to do was show up, bring a cake, bring the Birthday Girl, and write a check. It was AMAZING.

And speaking of the cake and the Birthday Girl, were they not both so cute??

It was about 5 seconds after we got there when Chloe found the balls.....I remember her in these balls when she was not even a year old!

Chloe and Addison, a friend from school, had a blast on the trampoline!

Next up...the balance beam!

We were lucky enough to have 2 party hosts, and during circle time, Chloe was the "star"! And she loved the "Birthday Girl" attention!

She even got to sit in the middle of the parachute while her friends spun her around in circles! Ahhh...the life of a princess!

Let's all bring it in, I have something serious to say!

I wonder what this mischievous look is all about. I think that she is planning her next victim in the balloon throwing event!

Chloe got to go first on the zipline because, well, she is the Birthday Girl afterall. She was not sure what to think about it!! She is not that daring, if you know what I mean!

Here she sits watching all her friends have their turn, clapping them on, while they are doing the zipline. After her of course. Because it is HER birthday, in case you forgot. She would not let you forget that it was her birthday!

Then it was time for a Puppet Show...starring the Birthday Girl herself. Well, she got to hold the monkey, atleast. "Please Mr. Alligator don't catch me...then SNAP that monkey right out of that tree!" It gets a smile out of her every time!

Chloe disappeared from her party for a bit after this....Where did she go? Do not worry, she did not leave....she was getting ready for the GRAND SURPRISE!!

My Biker Babe came out to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!" I would be lying if I said I was not teary eyed. I love that song, and seeing her so happy, and knowing that she is growing so fast brought tears to my eyes. She truly felt like a princess, and I was so happy for her. I know that sounds crazy, but I was loving that moment for her.

Here is a group photo of the kids that would sit still for a photo!

All the kids sat at the party table and sang Happy Birthday to Chloe while she was swinging....another way that My Gym made her feel so special!

TIME FOR CAKE....and can I just say that it tasted as good as it looked!

After cake they staff hung various swings that the kids could play on....and they could not wait to get out there!

And what would a party be without bubbles?

It was time to leave, so all the kids got in a circle and said "Goodbye!"

It was an awesome party...one of the best we have had!

Chloe went to thank her daddy for her wonderful party...does she look happy to you?

And then she had to hug Kinley Rose bye bye!

And a Big Thank You to the 2 girls that made Chloe's party so special!

I am so happy that so many of her friends came to celebrate with her. She had the time of her life, and I am thankful we were able to have this party for her!

Good Morning 4 Year Old!

This morning I woke up my baby! Except...she is starting to turn into a big girl! Here she is when K and I went into her room to sing her Happy Birthday!

When she came into the living room she saw 2 of her presents! A "Happy Birthday Barbie", and a new book!

She was quick to let me know that the Barbie she wanted was the "Fashion Fairy Secret Barbie!" We typically do not go all out with birthday presents because we put money in her account, and pay for a birthday party! And besides....she get SO MUCH STUFF from everyone else!

Here is the Birthday Girl with her "best man" before she left for school!

And here she is posing with her new Barbie. I guess she decided she would keep her after all!

I made cupcakes for her to pass out during snack time at school! She had an "Early Dismissal Day", so K and I picked her up and took her to lunch. She chose Mexican, so we went to Dos Margaritas, and it was yummy! After lunch, we had to head back to school for the Parent/Teacher conferences. Apparently, Chloe has a problem paying attention!! The teacher says she is absorbing everything, but she sometimes wonders if Chloe is paying attention. And she likes to talk....A LOT!!! I asked CHloe why she doesn't pay attention, and she said..."Because my friends are always talking to me, and wanting me to look at stuff!" We are definitely going to have our hands full!

We also had dance that night, so after dance we headed to Red Robin for Chloe's Birthday dinner. She LOVES Red Robin!!! Red Robin had pink balloons everywhere, and it was perfect. And guess what??? She loved it. More presents were opened, including more barbies...

And her favorite.....

It would not be complete without an Ice Cream Sundae with Sprinkles!

Do you think she is happy???

If I had to guess, I would say YES!

Happy Birthday Chloe!

Can you believe that Chloe is 4 years old? I certainly cannot! It is bittersweet! What a fun time K and I have had to cherish these last four years. We are truly blessed! Normally, I would write Chloe a letter and tell her how much K and I love her, but I saw this on a friends blog and wanted to steal it. It is so true, and my love cannot compare to the love that Jesus Christ has for my daughter! How awesome is that? But First...a look through the years!
