Happy Halloween 2010

Chloe was a "Strawberry Fairy" this year, or as she calls is "Strawberry Shortcake!" Hey, whatever makes her happy. When I was growing up, Strawberry Shortcake was not near as cure as this....

We headed over to K's parents house before we went back home and began passing out candy and trick-or-treating.

Here she is ringing her first door bell of the night at K's grandmother's house...

And here she is excitedely waiting for someone to answer the door!

After we left there, we headed home to pass out candy, and trick-or-treat on our street. We did not stay out too long, but we still had fun.

On a sidenote, there was a little boy that knocked on our door and before he could say trick-or-treat he blurted out "I need to go to the bathroom!" K just looked at me like, "What do I do?" I am sure his parents were wondering what he was doing coming into my house, so I had to yell outside what was going on. Needless to say, his dad was not too happy :)

We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

Fall Fun and Friends!

This year K and I decided to host a Bonfire out by "Lake Chloe." It was a fun time, with a lot of friends.

We had the kids bring their PowerWheels so that they could ride around and have fun! Chloe was very thankful Aiden was there because she was having some car trouble, so he had to check under the hood!

He decided to hop in and see how it felt!

They decided just to take Aiden's truck, and left!

Then Wyndham wanted to ride in the Mustang....so the girls hopped in.

Chloe did not let Wyndham stay in long because she said "Aiden might come back!" Bless her heart, she has a crush! Sorry Wyndham, when you get bigger, you can take the car away from her.

We set up a little spot for photos....

We did not get everyone's pictures because K started yelling that the food was ready, but here are some of the guests!

Annalee is ready to eat!

So was everyone else!

Chloe finished eating quick because Aiden came to get her........

It was time for the kids to paint pumpkins, which they loved......

The boys played on their phones.......

The girls held babies.........

I think we needed more supervision because Wyndham and Tate were getting frisky!

I think, by looking at the evidence, that someone may have gotten a cupcake, or two!

The kids did not understand why this was not very safe, therefore not allowed!

And just as our evening was coming to an end, poor Bethany caught a melted marshmellow in her hair!!! She may or may not have it in her hair for the rest of her life :)

We are blessed to have good friends to have fun with!

Bear Tracks Walk-a-Thon

Chloe's school had their annual fundraiser, and it was so much fun. This is our first year at this school, and I was excited to be a part of the planning.

The basic objective was to walk as many laps as you can in 30 minutes (45 minutes for the older kids) and get pledges per lap for your school. In addition to walking, there was a DJ, and a pumpkin patch for the kids to enjoy. K was there to walk with Chloe, and I was there to help her teachers get the kids ready for the walk.

Here is Chloe before we left for school on Bear Tracks day! YES....she has more outfits than this one, but this was only the second time she had worn it. If you remember the NICU Reunion and Smiley Hollow were on the same days. I hesitated to post this on the blog because it is going to be 3 posts in a row with this outfit on.....yes, I am embarrased!!! Anyway....here she is!

She was so excited because her daddy and "Boomer the Bear", the mascot, were both going to be at the event!

Here she is with her friend Addison waiting to begin walking.

READY....SET.....GO!

Shortly after she started walking, she discovered the trick to getting more laps in!

She got her card marked every time she finished another lap!

She then decided to pick up the pace so that no one would beat her. This was a race for the most laps in her mind! The more laps equals more money!

She did decide to stop and take a picture with Boomer for me in the middle of one of her laps. I appreciated this!

She was showing me how many more laps she had left! The DJ was announcing it on the speaker.

I am not trying to brag, but Chloe did more laps than everyone in her class. She did 18 laps. Yes, some would say it is because her daddy carried her for 2 laps, but I would say it is determination. She's gonna do whatever she has to do to win....and if that means getting a piggy back ride, so be it! Just kidding...all the kids did great.

After the walk-a-thon, it was time to head to the pumpkin patch. Mrs. Oldfield had the kids sit on the sidewalk so she could collect their cards and we could count their laps. Here she is with her other friend Meredith.

And they wait anxiously to enter the pumpkin patch!

She picked out the perfect pumpkin!

It was a successful fundraiser for her school, and we look forward to Bear Tracks next year!

Smiley Hollow 2010

We are so fortunate to go to a great church. We love our church. We are there a lot! We go on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and almost every other day to exercise! It is such a great place for the whole family!

One of the things that I look forward to each year in Smiley Hollow. It is a fall festival that the church puts on each year. It is great food, fun activities, and fellowship with all of our friends.

We headed straight to Smiley Hollow after the NICU Reunion. We had already had a fun filled day, but we were ready for more. As soon as we got there, Chloe spotted the train! She had to go on the train!

And what is more fun than playing with sticks while daddy is waiting in line for the pony rides?

She's up!

On our way into eat dinner, we stopped to shoot some hoops!

We ran into Chloe's best friend, Kinley Rose, on our way to eat!

They did more playing on the horse than eating!

Kinley's daddy took them on the train....again!

And here are the Best Friends waiting to ride a ride together!

Should I mention that Chloe would have NEVER done this ride without Kinley, but since Kinley was there she thought it was the greatest thing ever!! How funny.

K and I agree that the best part of the night was listening to Chloe and Kinley have a conversation. They were really into everything they were talking about. We could not understand what they were talking about, but the knew.....and it was adorable!
