Happy Birthday Savannah!

Yesterday, Chloe attended her cousin Savannah's first birthday party.  It was at a fun place called "Pump It Up."  Unfortunately for Chloe, she was scared to death of all the inflatables.  She began to warm up as the party went on though.  Here are some cute pictures of the party.

This is Chloe and Savannah playing with the balls. Once Chloe saw the balls, she realized that the party was going to be fun!

K decided that he would see what Chloe thought about the BIG slide. She was a bit confused at first, but then decided she loved it....just not enough to do it again!

And who says that birthday parties are just for kids? K decided to climb the rock wall! He made it to the top! YEAH DADDY!! Chloe was scared to death when he was coming down. She started crying. She was standing and watching his every move on that wall.

Here are some random pictures of Chloe playing at the party!

Then it was time to head into the Party Room for ice cream and cake. Chloe LOVED the big inflatable chair!

Chloe loved sitting at the party table with all the big kids waiting for her ice cream and cake. I know that I am her momma, but I have to say that she was SO well behaved!

Here is the Birthday Girl, Savannah, looking adorable eating her birthday cake.

And here is Chloe having a ball with her cake and ice cream. Let me just say that she was not interested in her cake at her first birthday party!

Savannah gave Chloe a goodie bag filled with Elmo books, and a silly straw! Chloe loves "Mo" so she was just thrilled to death! Here she is playing with them.

And here are my two favorite people!

Before the party was over, we snapped a picture of all the kids. It was so funny because Chloe was just sitting with a bunch of people that she had never seen before. She was so confused, but sat there until we told her she could get up!

And....because I love looking back at pictures of my baby, here she is at her 1st birthday party!

I'M BACK!

Yes.....I really am posting something.  Let me preface this post by saying that NOTHING extraordinary has been going on in our lives, and let's just be honest.....I have not really been in the mood to blog.  Don't get me wrong, I have very much enjoyed reading other people's blogs, but I have had nothing to post myself!

In this post, I will just run through what has been going on in our lives the past couple weeks.  Brace yourselves.....otherwise you may find yourself wandering away from the computer with excitement!!  Just kidding.

Just because I am not sure why this is on my camera....I thought that I would post a random picture of Chloe's pigtails.  I am not sure how or why this was taken, but it was....so here it is.

Next up in our crazy lives, a Titans game. Last Sunday K and I decided to take Chloe to a Titans game. We knew that it would be a challenge, but we were hoping that she would last at least until halftime. She was VERY well behaved, but at the end of the first quarter she crawled in K's lap and fell asleep! She was so cute. Here are our pictures from the Titans game.

We have mainly been playing outside the last couple of weeks. Here are the pictures from her playing outside, and having a big time. Her favorite hobby these days is pushing her babies around in the stroller.

Oh yeah, how could I forget to mention that Chloe got a virus, and spread it to me and K, and then I spread it to my poor friend, Libby. SORRY LIBBY! Here is my princess resting when she was sick. Bless her heart.

My "Fair" Lady

Yesterday, K and I thought that it would be a GREAT idea to take Chloe to the Tennessee State Fair.  Bad Idea!  I should have known, because I am from Memphis.  We have a huge, fun, greasy food, petting zoo, CROWDED fair.  Tennessee State Fair......NOT SO MUCH!  We should have known by the lack of advertising that this was not going to be a big fair....more like a parking lot "carnival."

You can see the excitement in Chloe's face as we head into the state fair.

As we walked into the fair, all the workers immediately began trying to persuade us to come play their game. One of them even told K, "If your wife won't bite, I'll give you a free game!" Seriously??? Nobody was there, they were trying to give the prizes away. K gave into the peer pressure and tried to pop balloons to get Chloe a prize.

Sadly, even her puppy would not make her smile. She even knew this place was filthy. But because we had already wasted $60 we were not leaving until we had spent our tickets. So, K took Chloe on the carousel. She did crack a smile on the horse!

After the carousel we headed to the cars. They would not let us ride with her so she went solo on this ride. I am pretty sure that she did not know what was going on! I have to admit that I was a little nervous that she was going to try and get out of the car during the ride. But, she did great!

When Chloe was through with the car ride, she headed to the roller coaster with her daddy. It did not look like it went fast, and it did not look too bumpy so we gave it a whirl.

That was a bad idea. SHE FREAKED OUT! In fact, they had to stop the roller coaster and let her and K off because she was freaking out! Oh well....now we know! I took the opportunity to capture her freaking out on her first roller coaster.

Then, we decided it was time to head home. Chloe was so exhausted that she fell asleep drinking her water.

And She Cheered Her Heart Out!

In case you are wondering why I have been absent for a while, I have been out of town on business. But.....before I left, Chloe cheered her heart out on Notre Dame's opening game. Yes, I know that they WON their second game yesterday, but these pictures are from last week. She looked so cute!

Let me just go ahead and give you the rundown on ND Football this year...... 2-0!

Is it really great to be a TN Vol??

I mean I do not want say "OVERRATED" but did UT get beat by a third string QB?

I cannot wait to hear all the UT fan excuses!! I am sure ESPN cheated.

Labor Day at the Skate Center

On Labor Day, K and I decided to take Chloe skating with some of our friends. We knew that she was not going to be able to skate, but we thought that she may enjoy the loud music, snacks, games, and watching people skate by.

The problem was.....most people were not skating by, but they were busting on their behinds! It was hilarious. I remember growing up and having multiple birthday parties at East End skating rink. I do not mean to toot my own horn, but I was not a bad speed skater! I mean anyone with pink wheels on their skates, big plastic glasses, and 80's bangs will look good skating.

People just do not take skating as seriously as they did when I was growing up. But hey, I still have it! Here are some pictures of Chloe having fun at the skating rink!

Even though we were specifically told that we were not allowed to take the stroller out on the skate rink, or carry her in our arms while we were skating, we decided to do it anyway. The fact that they did not have skates to fit her should not be our problem. What is the worst they are going to do?? Kick us out?? Oh well, I guess we will be kicked off that skate team we signed up for! K took Chloe skating, and even to do the hokey pokey! The pictures are not great because they were shaking it all about too fast!

Next time we go skating, maybe K would have perfected his stopping skills!

We will not be entering any couples skate competitions any time soon!
