NICU Reunion 2009

Remember this??

Well.....because of this wonderful day, we got to go to this today!

Chloe was so excited about this NICU Party. The theme was "Land of Oz", so my sweetheart dressed up like Dorothy. Or atleast similar to Dorothy! Here she is before we left the house showing off her costume!

Man is she cute or what?

So....anyway, today was the NICU Reunion and for those of you who do not know Chloe had a 2 week stay at the NICU. Not nearly as long as many babies, but nevertheless, it was an eternity for us! At the Reunion they had all the characters and I thought that Chloe was going to be scared to death of them! NOPE!! She loved them. I think what eased her fears is that she saw Dorothy and she had sparkly red shoes on too. The second she saw her, Chloe looked at me and said "Look Mommy she has sparkle shoes on like me!" And at that point, as far as she was concerned, she was where she belonged!!

When we got all checked in Chloe got a bag and her "Badge of Courage!" Boy did she wear that proudly!

Here is Chloe with Dorothy! I think that she found it so funny they were dressed alike!

Oz was at the front with Dorothy, but Chloe was not too sure about him. She let him hold her, but he did not have sparkly shoes on and, well, she did!

Here are some pictures of her with the other characters. The witch was her least favorite. In fact, she would not get out of her stroller. But she did take a picture with them! She loved the monkeys though! She kept saying "THOSE SILLY MONKEYS MOMMY!" It is a good thing K was not there because apparently the monkeys still scare him!

And what would the "Land of Oz" be without a yellow brick road to follow? Don't ask us....we wouldn't know!

And guess what? That yellow brick road led us to the Tin Man!!!

And the Queen!

And then we found some crafts! The first craft that we did was a handprint for the March of Dimes. We got to write Chloe's NICU story and what she is up to today. They are going to frame her story next to her handprint and give it to a March of Dimes Sponsor at the March of Dimes event next year! Isn't that cool? Somebody will be given Chloe's story as a gift! Then we headed to make a handprint to bring home! Here she is waiting anxiously to paint her hand! She loved this. Of all the colors she did both handprints in pink!

And here she is getting her hand painted!

While we were waiting on out tile to dry we had a couple more photo ops!

One thing that Chloe wanted to do before she left was play in the Bounce House! Here she is. This is the very first time she has ever smiled in one of these things!

And then we ran into one of Chloe's NICU Nurses. This is Angela. She was one of the nurses that took care of Chloe during her stay!

We had a great time and are so thankful for the NICU!

My Future Commando!!

Chloe loves that game. And by that game I mean the high school football game on Friday nights. And why wouldn't she? There is so much action. We have not really gone to the games since we have been married because K did not want to be one of "Those Guys!' You know, the ones that wear their letter jackets and they state championship rings from MANY years ago?

But now that we have our own child it is okay to go. We want to teach her what is really important when you get into high school. Not grades.....GAMES! Just kidding. Kinda. And she LOVED the whole atmosphere. She loved the women telling her how cute she was. She loved the band. She loved those cheerleaders, and wanted their pom poms. And she LOVED that game. Her daddy plays that game, she say. "Why Yes Baby, your daddy did play that game....A LONG TIME AGO!!"

So in order to go to the "TOWN GAME", (I like to call it that because it sounds like we live in a little country town, where everyone goes to the town game on Friday nights!), she needed the appropriate attire. And there was not a store near that had what I was thinking. So what did I do? I made it myself!

And here she is in her "Game Outfit!" I picked her up from daycare today and the first thing she asked me was if it was time to go to that game. She also requested her black shirt with her name on it (she thinks that anything monogramed is her name), and her black game bows. Well baby....YOU GOT IT!

Man I just love this baby girl! She is just so sweet!

Yep...She Loves that Game! And so do we!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day Weekend was anxiously awaited for in our house! For one reason, we were going swimming. Football season started, in case you forgot! And....I had a 3 day weekend, so I guess you could say that I was happy!!

So here is a rundown of our weekend! It was fun! We went to the pool. Chloe and I went on Sunday and Monday, but Sunday was not pretty so there are not any pictures. Here she is on Monday sporting my favorite bathing suit!

After playing in the kiddie pool for a while, K took her to the big pool, and she was just loving it. Here she is with K having a blast.

Chloe really loved jumping to her daddy. "C'mon Daddy.....catch me. One. Two Three!!"

Aren't they just precious? They are to me!!

But the it happened! Chloe got in trouble. It was bound to happen. She was having such a good day! So this is how it all went.....Chloe loves lotion. I mean LOVES lotion. I told her that she was NOT to touch the lotion after I put it all over her. For a couple hours she obeyed and it was not a problem. And then it happened. She got the lotion, hid behind K's chair, and all I saw was the lotion all over the ground. It was funny, but nevertheless, she broke the rules. And she knew it! So she got time out, and this is how she handled it!

And if you look really close you can see her eyes peeking through the chair! So Funny!

After lunch, Chloe went to take a nap and MeMaw and PawPaw's house, and K an I went to the worst movie in history...The Gamer. Trust me, don't see it. It is a waste of money. When the movie was over we got Chloe, and went home to shower and change. We went to K's parents for dinner. Chloe had so much fun throwing rocks in the lake and feeding the fish cucumbers. All I know is that when I was a kid, fish ate fish food, and it was not cucumbers! Those fish were loving life! Here are some adorable pictures of Chloe from Labor Day Evening!

And then she found the flowers!

I love this picture of her. She just looks like a bundle of joy in this picture. Such a Happy Girl!

And then PawPaw took her down to the lake, and I took the opportunity to take a million pictures!

Hope Ya'll had as much fun as we did!!

Football Time!!

Well, here we go agin! The Irish are BACK!! Kickoff is this Saturday. Don't miss it! I know my family will be cheering for the IRISH!!

Cheer Cheer For Ol Notre Dame
Wake up the echoes cheering her name!

You may remember last year's post about the excitement that comes with Notre Dame Football. There is something so exciting about this time of year.

HAPPY FOOTBALL SEASON!!

Line Leaders Rule!!

Well I will have to update this post with pictures later. I am working right now, and I seem to have plenty of time to type while I sit in a physician's office! So...last night at dance Chloe was the line leader! She loved it. It was her first time to get to be the line leader, and the first thing she told me when class was over was "I got to sit in the Princess chair momma! I love it!!" and she had A LOT of emphasis on the "I LOVE IT" part!

So what are the responsibilities of the line leader, you ask? Well you are not alone, I ask that same question! Apparently, all the little girls get to follow Chloe in the dance moves (I mean, she is a really good dancer, and can shake her booty with the best of them!), and at the end of class she gets to sit in the "Princess Chair", with a feather boa around her neck while all the other little girls dance around her! Ha Ha!!

So, I guess she still loves dance. Her words, not mine!
