Beach Bum

As I mentioned on Sunday, my company (which will remain nameless) took us on a fun beach weekend to Clearwater Beach, Fl.  This was Chloe's first time at the beach.  Those of you that were following the news know that there was a hurricane in that area, so we had no idea what the weather was going to be like.

However, it was sunny for the most part with occasional showers!  Overall, Chloe had a great time.

On Friday, we had to leave our house a 3:45am to head to the airport.  Only Chloe can look this pretty eating breakfast in the middle of the night.

When we got to the airport, Chloe found a few necessities that she needed to purchase before getting on the airplane.

When we boarded the plane, she found her seat and buckled in! She was prepared for take off....and so were all of her toys and snacks!

When we got to the resort, we headed to lunch with my district. While we were there Chloe made sure that she was wearing all the necessary accessories.

Before heading to the beach, Chloe needed her beauty rest. After all....she had been up a long time!

Then we headed to the WINDY beach. Chloe did not really know what to think about the sand, but eventually got used to it.

Since it was too windy for a full on photo shoot we headed to the swimming pool.

We ended Friday having dinner across from the hotel and Chloe had a big girl cup with her milk in it.

I'll be back later with pictures from the rest of the weekend!

Sneak peek

I have been out of town the past few days on a company trip to Clearwater Beach.  Chloe went with me.  I will be back soon with a full recap, but I wanted to post a cute picture of Chloe at the beach.

I will post again soon!

These are the days!

I love this time with her!

Countdown to Kickoff

16 DAYS UNTIL KICKOFF!!! Notre Dame vs. San Diego State, September 6, 2008

Cheer, cheer for Old Notre Dame
Wake up the echoes cheering her name,
Send the volley cheer on high
Shake down the thunder from the sky,
What though the odds be great or small
Old Notre Dame will win over all,
While her loyal sons are marching....
ONWARD TO VICTORY!!

All you Tennessee fans may want to move on to another website, because your presence is not needed!  I am just kidding, but I am SO EXCITED that I am only 16 days away from watching the Notre Dame Fighting Irish run onto the field in their gold helmets!  I just love those helmets.

Last year during football season, Chloe wore her cheerleading uniform every Saturday. She looked so cute, and this year I know that it will even be cuter watching her because she will be cheering with her pom poms. Here is Chloe last year in her Notre Dame attire!

I mean, who doesn't have a smile like that on their face when cheering for the Fighting Irish?  Even when they are losing, it is something about cheering for that team that makes me smile!

Date Night......Part II

Okay, so I am totally stealing this from Sarah, Connell's mommy, but you are not going to believe how cute our two babies are!  I am sure that all two of you read about us going to eat Mexican and then taking Chloe and Connell on a shopping date.  But, what you did not see is this....

Last week Sarah posted pictures from Connell a year ago:

And as soon as I saw that on her blog, I remembered this:

I am not sure that it gets much cuter! I mean it is like pulling teeth to get K to coordinate with me, and Chloe and Connell are already on the same page!

HOW ADORABLE ARE THEY???

Cutest Kid at Kid's Kingdom

Yesterday, Chloe helped her friend Annalee celebrate her 3rd birthday. Even though there is quite an age difference, they have so much fun playing together. We started off the evening going to Kid's Kingdom to play for a little while.

Here is Chloe playing on the swings. She did not really know what to think about the swings!

Her and Annalee had a BLAST playing to the tire swing together. I remember doing this when I was a kid.

She loved sitting in the box while someone was shaking it. I think that she would have loved it more if the sun were not in her eyes. She definitely needed her sunglasses.

We then moved over to the letters that she could twist and turn. She liked these, but got bored quickly!

Chloe had fun climbing on the dinosaurs with Annalee and Mr. Ben.

After the dinosaurs got boring, Chloe found the xylophone, wheel, and the slide! The slide was by far her favorite activity at the park!!

Here are a few adorable pictures of Chloe just hanging out looking cute at Kids Kingdom!

And in case you cannot tell in this picture.....she ran from one thing to another. We will definitely be back to Kids Kingdom soon!

After we left Kids Kingdom we headed to Wendy's for a quick bite to eat. It was Annalee's birthday so she chose the restaurant....and I will say it is one of my childhood favorites! Chloe sat at the big kids table until I realized she was not focusing on eating but stealing Annalee's food.

After Wendy's we moved on over to Baskin Robbins. No birthday is complete without ice cream. Chloe got one of those party cones because Annalee did, and she did not know what to do with it...but she did manage to make quite the mess.

Here Comes Hollywood!

I just think that Chloe is so cute in her pink shades.  This accessory was a must have at the pool yesterday!

We all know that big sunglasses are the latest fad in Hollywood. When will she be given her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

Date Night Pictures

So I mentioned the other day that  Chloe went on a date with Connell.  Here are the pictures of them from their shopping excursion.  While mommies were shopping around gymboree, the crazy kids were watching GymTv together.

Connell would reach over and pat Chloe's arm and then she would pull her arm away! It was so funny. Then Chloe tried to pat....or hit Connell's arm. She was not being nice.

Then we found the pink cowboy hat! She looks just like a Cowgirl Princess on her way to the rodeo!

Chloe and Connell loved playing together, we will have to do it again soon!!

Birthday Wishes

Well K....Happy Birthday. We sure do miss you and can't wait for you to be home. This morning we were singing Happy Birthday to you, and Chloe ran in the other room to get your picture and kissed it.  She misses you!  I am not sure who misses you more, her or me. I know that you can't wait to be home.  Who knows, maybe Madden 2009 will be here waiting for you!  We hope you have a great birthday in Sunny Orlando......but not too much fun, you have work to do.  I love you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!

And the day continues....

Well, Chloe and I had a very busy day. After her nap we headed to the swimming pool. I tried to take her necklaces off of her, but she thought that she would look better if she had them on at the country club, so who am I to stand in her way??

We went to the locker room, and she stood on the bench like she was waiting for the American Flag to be raised, and the beads were her gold medal! She is my American gymnast! We would have beat the Chinese in every event if she would have been on the team. Her hair alone would have gotten her a high execution score!

Then it was time to hit the water, so I know that all of you are bored of looking at Chloe at the pool, but be patient....the season is almost over!

After we left the pool, we met the O'Learys for some Mexican food. We decided that Connell and Chloe needed to go on a date. Sarah and I took them shopping after dinner. Here they are in the car on the way to the shops!

I will post later with more pictures from Chloe's date. I was a bad mommy, and am waiting for Sarah to email me the pictures!!

Admit One....or Forty!

Today at Chloe's daycare there was a carnival.  I decided that Chloe would have fun, so we got dressed and headed to the big event. As you can tell by her big smile, she was so excited to get on the road to her carnival. We even made sure we had plenty of cash in hand to purchase the necessities!

As soon as we walked into daycare, there were decisions to be made. How many tickets did we need? Did Chloe "need" sunglasses that were bigger than her face? Would she sit still long enough to have her picture taken? And how on earth was I going to help her play the games, and take pictures? We needed K, but we survived and took plenty of pictures!

Obviously we decided that she did need sunglasses. Just in case it got bright, and she could not see to play the games. Since the carnival was inside I did not think it would get to bright, but it is always better to be prepared.

We headed into the first room and Chloe dove for duckies. This was her favorite thing! She loves ducks, and kept saying "Quack Quack!"

After she picked her fair share of ducks, we headed into room 2. In this room Chloe got to pull a lollipop, and throw bean bags. SHE LOVED IT!! Here she is having the time of her life. The one thing that she did not understand is that she only got to pull one lollipop, not 30! Needless to say, I am a "Sucker" and we came home with a million lollipops.

As you can see in the picture of her playing at this table, she won some necklaces during the bean bag toss. She wanted every color.

After the bean bag toss and lollipop pull, we headed to the elephant stomp! In this room she was supposed to be stomp on balloons and pop them, but she prefered to throw them! Whatever she wants. I gave a ticket to let her play!

Next stop....face painting for a bargain price of 8 tickets. I was not sure that this would go over well, but she sat so still and loved it. I think that she had seen the other kids, and wanted something on her face too.

After face painting, she wanted more tickets. This place was highway robbery!! We purchased tickets, and headed to play some more!

Chloe was so funny while we were at the carnival! She kept wanting to go to her room that she goes to everyday! Here she is standing in front of her classroom. She wanted everyone to see her necklaces and sunglasses.

After some more playing we headed to the car! She was worn out.

Before we left we did get some good news.....Chloe won the door prize. She gets to go to the Jump Place and jump for free. Not bad for her momma paying a small fortune to the daycare!

When we got home she ate lunch, and definitely found it necessary to eat in style with jewelry in tact, and then fell fast asleep. I had so much fun with her today, sorry K had to miss it but we got plenty of pictures!
