Happy Memorial Day 2010!

Happy Memorial Day! I hope that yours was as fun as ours. Guess where we were?? Yep, the pool! We headed out to the pool when they opened and had lunch there, Chloe played games, K complained about being bored sitting at the pool, and we stayed longer. I think this pretty much sums up how our summer is going to be! K complains, we stay longer!! HA!

Here is Chloe having her first tea of Memorial Day 2010!

That girl just cannot get enough tea! For some reason she has decided to call me "Your Highness!" And as funny as it is, it is kind of embarrasing because I do not want people to think that I make her call me that. And she does not say it every now and then, she says it after everything! "Can you open this Your Highness?", "Want some more tea Your Highness?", "Can you wipe my face Your Highness?", and on and on. I know that she thinks it is funny, and it totally is, but I am sure that there is someone out there that thinks I make her do that! Oh Well!!

After many more tea parties, and a cookout lunch, there were some games to be played. They had age groups and Chloe would have been in the 5 and under group. She got in line with Elizabeth and she heard the pool manager say "7 and 8 year olds line up here!" All she heard was "7 and 8" and she looked at me and said, "Oh, Mom....I'm not older enough, and she just walked off!" It was so sad. I tried to convince her that she could play with the younger kids, but she insisted that she was not older enough. Bless her heart. But, she had her sight set on something else. Another tea party, so off we went. She said, "Come on Your Highness!" And so I did!

A few minutes later she saw some commotion, and needed to get involved. A shaving cream fight was taking place!

I am glad she was older enough to get in on that Memorial Day Fun! Hope everyone had a fun weekend!

Swimming Lessons

Chloe started her private swimming lessons! She was a little hesitant, but really liked Miss Hailey. She did not understand why she did not have her new float that her daddy got her, but she did well!

Here she is just getting to know Miss Hailey. I tried the best I could to stay out of her view, but she still saw me occassionally!

Here she is easing into the water!

Chloe has NEVER been scared of the water, but for some reason this year she has been hesitant to go under. I hope that it will pass very soon. Like the next time we are at the pool, preferably!

Here she is sitting on the side of the pool before she practices jumping in to Hailey. She was anxiously awaiting!

And then it was time to practice her kicking!

We are on our way to having a little Mermaid....oh wait, she already thinks she is!

Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weenie

Chloe loves sporting her yellow polka dot bikini, but what she loves even more is a tea party at the pool!

She even met a friend at the pool to have a tea party with! You can imagine that after 6757 cups of "tea" I was not thirsty anymore!

After a few minutes of sharing she decided that she was done with that, packed up her tea party and headed to the big pool to play with her cousins, Elizabeth and Caleb.

They wore her out! What a fun day!

Pool Opening Day

We are so excited that the pool is open. Chloe and I have been waiting for this for a long time. She would ask me everyday, "Mommy is the swimming pool open yet?" And finally I can say, "Yes Baby, it is!"

Here she is with her daddy when we first got there!

She was showing me how she can jump in!

She picked out a new float for herself when K took her shopping that morning. I told K that I thought that the float was a mistake because we are hoping she learns to swim this summer, but he just said that she wanted it. By all means, it she wants it, she gets it!

She had so much fun at the swimming pool!

After all that water play, she needed a snack so we ordered her a hot dog. While we were waiting on it she snacked on some blueberries. She decided to use her bucket for her chair!

And then her hot dog game, and she must have been starving!

Then she was right back in the pool. Forget the 30 minute rule, she was ready to go!

Then it was time to dry off and change clothes!

We had a great time. It is going to be a FUN summer!

Bike Day

Chloe's daycare had Bike Day at school. She was so excited that she was going to get to take ber bike, or tricycle. K put it in the car for us before he left for work, but we had to get it out because she wanted to take a picture for Bike Day!

I was a little concerned about how she would be on her bike because she does not ride it that She fell off of it a while back, and has been scared of it ever since, but when I went to pick her up they told me she did great. They even had pictures of her riding all around outside. I am glad that she had fun!

Happy Bike Day!

Last Soccer Game and Awards

Praise the Lord, soccer is over. I am very glad that I gave Chloe the opportunity to play soccer, but I am also very glad that it is over. You see, she did not really love to play soccer. She liked being there, but she really did her own thing. So when it was the day of the LAST SOCCER GAME, K and I were thrilled to death. You know what it meant??? No more soccer practice! Now don't get me wrong. I love extracurricular activities. I am not one of those mom's that stresses because I have to take Chloe to soccer, or dance, or whatever. In fact if it were up to me she would be in something every night of the week. I think it is great for kids to have activities, but K says "Heather, she is only 3." So I say okay, and continue to plan for the future!

Back to soccer. Did I mention we had our last game?

It looks like she is playing doesn't it?? She isn't! She was actually running across the field to talk to me. I figured that I might as well snap a few pics while she was running, and on the field!

Then her and Kinley decided they needed a break! They were worn out!

Then they decided to run back across the field together holding hands. They went back and forth many times!

And then they were thirsty!

Annalee, Chloe's best friend, showed up at the end of her game. Chloe was teaching her and Kinley her dance that she learned in ballet.

After the game we went inside for a Pizza Party. We needed to celebrate her soccer success this year!

She was very excited about pizza. In fact, this may have been the highlight of soccer season!

Her team name was displayed proudly in the middle of the table...

And what would an "End of the Year" celebration be without an award? She got a new soccer ball!

I am sure that ball will be very handy next season...HA!

Little Miss Strawberry

Well we live right down the road from the Strawberry capital of the world! The big city of Portland, TN. Every year they have a strawberry festival, and we took Chloe. This is her second time going, and I am glad we went. It was not too much fun, and we were not there that long, but I am still glad we went.

Here she is eating her ice cream while at the "Strawberry Carnival" as she called it.

The most important thing to get while we were there was strawberries. And we got them!

I came right home and made a strawberry shortcake with our fresh strawberries. Guess what? I kinda like it better with the frozen ones from Kroger! How crazy is that? I am sure they are not as healthy, but oh well! However, Little Miss Strawberry had fun, and that is all that matters!

HHS Alumni game 2010

Every year K plays in his High School Alumni game. It is a great time, and we always have fun watching him. Here he is with Chloe before the game out on the football field. She thought that this was so cool!

Here are the alumni that played in the game....or should I say showed up to the game. Most of them are old by now!

Here are some pictures of K during his game. I should not before I get in trouble that he was not #30, he was #33. I repeat, he was NOT #30, her was #33. But for the purposes of the Alumni Game, he was wearing #30.

After that hard work, K needed a break!

Here is K hanging out with his best girl at a break in the game.

And then Chloe decided she wanted to play her own football game!

And what would a day be like without a Route 44?

We cannot wait until next year's Alumni game. Another year older!
