The Enchanted Forest

The day after Thanksgiving, we took Chloe to The Enchanted Forest at the Pink Palace in Memphis.  We do not have hardly any pictures because Chloe was SCARED TO DEATH!  And I mean, SCARED TO DEATH!  I am not really sure what scared her, but the second we walked in she began to panic.  It was Christmas decorations lit up with Christmas music.....that's it!

She did calm down when K  was holding her, but other than that she was only happy at the end where Santa was!

I am not exactly sure what that construction hat was all about, but it was a part of one of the decorations so we put it on her! One of the few smiles we got that day!

She also enjoyed standing on the little bridge with the penguins. She would have stood there for hours if we would have let her!

After we forced her off the bridge, she stood in line with her daddy to see Santa. She was excited to get to the front of the line, but then hesitated when it was her turn! She did great, no tears, but there was a cute look of confusion!

This is going to be a very busy holiday season.

Thanksgiving Day

We had a very busy Thanksgiving Day, as everyone did.  We ate with K's family, then went to Memphis with my Family, and it was just crazy!

Here we are at Granny's house.  She has a new turkey outside her house that Chloe was not too sure of!

After we made our way inside, and stuffed ourselves on another feast, Chloe decided to play with her daddy and Granny.

Then Chloe decided to have a few laughs by herself on the floor....she is so much fun!!

When we were finished at Granny's, we hopped in the car and headed to Memphis for ANOTHER Thanksgiving meal. When we arrived in Memphis we headed over to some family friends' house to eat....or in our case, visit. While we were there Chloe found her hidden musical talent!

Chloe entertained all of us for a while with her artistic ability, and I loved every second!

We also got to see my brother that we do not see often, so here is Chloe with her Uncle Patrick!!

Well....I guess this is officially the beginning of the Christmas holiday!!

Family Night #6

I guess for the holiday season a lot of our Family Nights will take place outside of the home.  It just seems that there is so much hustle and bustle, that we are always on the go.  But all that matters is that we are together!

The night before Thanksgiving we went to see "Sesame Street Live : Elmo Grows Up."  Chloe thought that she had died and gone to heaven.  She loves "Mo."

We started our night off by going to McDonald's.  I hate McDonald's, but K loves it so I gave in.  Chloe had never been to McDonald's.  She was less than impressed with everything but the french fires.  Go figure!

Here she is once we got to Sesame Street Live sitting on the stage, showing off her Elmo shirt!

And here she is watching every move Elmo makes! When Elmo walked off the stage, she almost cried and screamed....."MO, MO, MO." It was so cute!

What a great night! And you cannot beat $10 seats!!

Celebrate Friends!

We had some friends over the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and K and I cooked a FULL THANKSGIVING FEAST! I was so proud of us! We had so much fun!

Check out K working on the Turkey!

And let me just show you the cute touch I added to a frozen pie....check out the pumpkins around the crust.

K and I decorated the table with all of our fall dishes, I thought it looked pretty!

We feasted on turkey, dressing, broccoli cheese casserole, green beans, homemade bread, corn, macaroni and cheese, banana pudding, deviled eggs, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie.......I think that is it!

Here is K looking proud of his first turkey, and it was SOOOOOO good!

Here is Chloe waiting by the door to greet our guests!

Here is Chloe and Annalee sitting at their own table having a ball!

After dinner, we heard Chloe and Annalee laughing so loud in Chloe's bedroom, and guess what we found?

Obviously they thought that it would be funny to take EVERYTHING out of her dresser........HILARIOUS!

We had fun though, we should make it a tradition to celebrate with friends!

Family Fun Night #5

Because we were having company this week for Thanksgiving Dinner, we decided to take our Family Fun Night outside the home! We headed to Chick-Fil-A, also known as Chloe's favorite place to eat, to enjoy some chicken and time together!

Chloe and her momma LOVE Chick-fil-A.

Here are some photos of Chloe headed to her 1st big night of the week!! She was not exactly thrilled to have to put clothes on.

After she devoured her chicken, and her daddy's, she headed to play!

What Chloe did not know is that Ma and Pa had a surprise for her at their house. When we left Chick-fil-A we headed over there and this is what she saw.......

She did not really know what to think about the big blow up Dora.......but I am sure she will like it better next time!

Can you believe that Saturday Chloe turned 21 months old?  I can't.  She is getting too big, too fast!  I hate it when I have a birthday and my parents call and say......"I still remember the day that you were born!"  I always think to myself, "YEAH RIGHT, that was years ago!"  But, I think that I will say the same thing to Chloe!

I mean, how can she go from this:

To this......

And it all happened so darn fast! So.....here are 21 things that Chloe loves!

1) Her "Rella" book (Cinderella)
2) Anything "Dowa" (Dora the Explorer)

5) Chick-Fil-A Saturday morning breakfasts
6) Ducks
7) her pink convertible
8) Elmo
9) Mickey Mouse
10) bath time
11) shopping with mommy

I'm Back!

Okay, in case all of you were wondering where I went....I was busy exporting all 9,571 pictures of Chloe into Shutterfly. We had a scare at my house when K got on the computer and I almost lost EVERY SINGLE PICTURE. I would have died.

Anyway, it took a while! I have posted but you may have to scroll down, because I edited the dates to match the day of the event!

BYE!!

Family Fun Night #4

In case ya'll have never read my blog, you may think that I like DORA. You could not be more wrong. In fact...I strongly dislike DORA. I still do not understand why it is smart for kids to learn Spanish before English, but that is a whole different can of worms. I cannot solve all the world's problems today...we will leave that to Barack!! Did I say that???

Anyway, we had a Mexican/Dora themed Family Fun Night! We had fun. Chloe was in heaven when she woke up from her nap and went to the kitchen only to be surprised with this......

I had Dora placemats, Dora Napkin Rings, and even Dora name tags.

I even cut the Dora's out and taped them to sticks so that Chloe could wave them around!

So...what did we eat you ask? Well, mexican food of course! I made enchiladas, and BOUGHT rice, beans, queso, salsa and chips! And I served it with the famous "HOT PLATE HOT PLATE!"

For dessert I made cookie/brownie bars, because I am not a fan of Mexican desserts. I had already given in to one think that I did not like (Dora) so I think it is okay to not give into another!

After dinner, K and I played Tic Tac Toe on our placemat, while Chloe waved her Dora dolls around!

One thing that was not captured by camera is that K downloaded "Dora's Party Jams" on the Ipod, and it was hard for Chloe to concentrate on eating cause she was dancing the whole time in her chair! So cute!

I am even starting to like Dora because Chloe likes her so much! Does that mean that I will like the french horn if that is what she chooses as an extracurricular activity???
