Bad News Bears

Take a look at this:

Does she look sick? I don't think so. I think that she looks happy. Why? Because this is the day before her 2nd birthday party, and we were finishing up the last minute decorations and purchases. FUN TIMES.....

BUT, by the time we had gotten home from Wal-Mart at 8:30 AM, her party had to be cancelled because she was not feeling so great. In fact, I think that I changed 776 diapers between 8:30 and 8:45 AM. AWESOME!

So guess how she ended her Saturday night?

If you guessed the hospital, you are right. Chloe went to Vanderbilt Children's hospital. Bless her heart. But after 3 sticks there was still no IV, so she took in some pedialyte and we were on out way home! YEAH!!

Guess where we were Sunday night?

You guessed it....Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Only this time they got an IV in after 4 tries, and decided to keep us overnight. So here is what my week looked like......

Monday the 23rd (By the way, the Hospital was booked so we were still in the ER)

At 8pm on the 23rd we got a room...FINALLY! A room just in time to watch 24, and change 400 more diapers. SWEET.

Tuesday, the 24th. Yep, you guessed it! Still here. It has been confirmed that she has Rotavirus.

Let me tell you, it is NOT easy to keep a 2 year old occupied in a hospital bed She could not leave her room because she was too contagious, and she could not walk around because she was hooked up to an IV. It was definitely a challenge.

Wednesday, the 25th.....

And, she is ready to go.

That is the point where I decided to follow her around the room with an IV pole, until she almost pulled her IV out.

Thursday, the 26th....HELLO FROM VANDERBILT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL! WE LOVE THIS PLACE!

Chloe received some gifts.....

She did get her IV out at noon.....

We got to go home at around 7:30PM, and I have never been more happy to get home. PRAISE THE LORD!

Happy Birthday Chloe

I cannot believe she is 2....I mean wasn't she just like a little bitty baby that we brought home from the hospital? I thought so. So, let's take a look at her through the years!

February 15, 2007- A Princess is Born! Chloe Michelle, 4lbs. 1oz, 16 3/4 inches

Feb 15, 2008- She turns 1! 18 lbs

February 15, 2009- TWO YEARS OLD- 29 lbs. (Before I post all these pictures, YES I REALIZE THOSE ARE CHRISTMAS PAJAMAS!!!)

Good Morning 2 year old!

How old are you?

Here is the Birthday Girl getting ready for church. Clearly, she does not appreciate aging!!

And here she is celebrating her Birthday with her VERY BEST FRIEND......ME!!!

The night of her Birthday, K and I took Chloe to a hibachi grill, Kabuto, and she loved to watch them cook. However, K was too embarrassed to let me take a picture so we do not have one!! I did not want to sit through dinner with him being grouchy. Trust me, it is not pleasant!! So, here she is ready to go eat her birthday dinner!

And here she is taking her first 2 year old bath!

I think she has now adjusted to being 2!

My Little Valentine!!

Happy Valentine's Day!  Chloe woke up on Valentine's Day and headed straight to the kitchen for her Valentine.  Here she is with it!

We had a low key Valentine's Day. We cooked dinner at home, and then took Chloe to Toys-R-Us to pick out her birthday presents. She had a blast. So, Happy Valentine's Day!

School Valentines' Party...AKA Chloe's Birthday Party

Well, February 13th was a busy day for us, and it was not Valentine's Day or Chloe's Birthday!!!  She got to have her Valentine exchange at school, and she celebrated her upcoming birthday (Feb. 15th) with her friends at school.  K and I took cupcakes, and I made Valentines for her to pass out to her friends.

Here are the Valentine's that I made for her to pass out....I thought they were cute, if I do say so myself!!

Here are the cute cupcakes that we ate and celebrated birthday with!

When we walked into her classroom, we were greeted with this giant birthday card that her friends made for her. It was so cute, and she loved walking around the house with it!

And here are some pictures of her school Valentine/Birthday celebration.....

Don't ask me why she only has one bow in.....I was just beside myself that she had lost one ON HER BIRTHDAY PARTY AT SCHOOL DAY!!! OH MY GOSH. And by the way, she did not go to school in that big white ugly t-shirt. That is what they put on her so that she did not mess up her Valentine dress. I do have more sense of style than that!

Dog Park

We joined some of our friends at the Dog Park today after lunch! We took Rudy and Chloe had a blast! Rudy is HUGE compared to their yorkie Juliet, so I was a bit nervous! Here are some pictures from the day...or a lot of pictures. What can we say, we had fun!

I think that Chloe ran more that the two dogs did combined!

Chloe has become quite the dog walker, so if anyone wants to hire her, let me know! We charge a nominal fee!

After we were done with the dog park we headed over to feed the ducks! The entire walk over Chloe screamed "QUACK"! She loves the ducks and had a ball feeding them.

Here are some pictures of Chloe with Beth and Rusty....

Oh yeah, and Rusty......can you believe that he owns shoes like this???

He wore those to my house the other night, and I almost died!!! He calls them his "Yard Shoes." I bet my great grandfather has some of those too!!!

Where have we been?

Well, I wish that I could say that I have been on some amazing, tropical vacation, but I haven't. I have just been lazy! I am going to catch up on what we have been doing over the last 2 weeks. Scroll down, and take a look!
