Take a look at this:
Does she look sick? I don't think so. I think that she looks happy. Why? Because this is the day before her 2nd birthday party, and we were finishing up the last minute decorations and purchases. FUN TIMES.....
BUT, by the time we had gotten home from Wal-Mart at 8:30 AM, her party had to be cancelled because she was not feeling so great. In fact, I think that I changed 776 diapers between 8:30 and 8:45 AM. AWESOME!
So guess how she ended her Saturday night?
If you guessed the hospital, you are right. Chloe went to Vanderbilt Children's hospital. Bless her heart. But after 3 sticks there was still no IV, so she took in some pedialyte and we were on out way home! YEAH!!
Guess where we were Sunday night?
You guessed it....Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Only this time they got an IV in after 4 tries, and decided to keep us overnight. So here is what my week looked like......
Monday the 23rd (By the way, the Hospital was booked so we were still in the ER)
At 8pm on the 23rd we got a room...FINALLY! A room just in time to watch 24, and change 400 more diapers. SWEET.
Tuesday, the 24th. Yep, you guessed it! Still here. It has been confirmed that she has Rotavirus.
Let me tell you, it is NOT easy to keep a 2 year old occupied in a hospital bed She could not leave her room because she was too contagious, and she could not walk around because she was hooked up to an IV. It was definitely a challenge.
Wednesday, the 25th.....
And, she is ready to go.
That is the point where I decided to follow her around the room with an IV pole, until she almost pulled her IV out.
Thursday, the 26th....HELLO FROM VANDERBILT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL! WE LOVE THIS PLACE!
Chloe received some gifts.....
She did get her IV out at noon.....
We got to go home at around 7:30PM, and I have never been more happy to get home. PRAISE THE LORD!
