Chloe and I had a girls afternoon at the park after church one Sunday. We had a blast. She was chasing the ducks everywhere. She had her eye on this little guy and did not understand why in the world she could not pet him like a dog! He kept running from her!
She could not wait to feed the ducks Goldfish that she brought from home so she finally made her way to the lake.
After we fed the ducks all of our Goldfish we headed over to the playground. K has convinced Chloe that he built this playground because he volunteered for like an hour one day when they were building it. He was in High School then! Here she is swinging on the "baby" swings, because they are her favorite!
She kept saying "Push Me Mommy, NO MOMMY, That's High Enough!!" It was so cute!
After the swings she convinced me to go to the sandbox. I hate sandboxes, but I went for her.
She kept trying to build sandcastles and she was so proud of herself. I was cheering for her and saying "Good Job Chloe, that is a Great sandcastle!" There was a 7 year old little brat that looked at me and said, "Actually, that's not even how you build them." I just said "Well, she's three, and I think it is beautiful!" Brat!
Then she took his toy, and I was proud of her!!
I love my time with her....wish I had more!

My Baby is Growing Up!
My baby is growing uo, and it is killing me. I mean I know that she will ALWAYS be my baby, but it is just so sad to me when I see her doing more and more "Big girl" things. Well, not sad. Bittersweet.
So.....Chloe stayed in a crib longer than most kids. In fact, she never even tried to get out of her crib. I take that back, one time she did. But, she got back in and never did it again. So we left her in. And she was fine. She loved it, and so did we because we knew she was safe! But, I had to bite the bullet and give in to the big girl bed. I am not going to lie, I was scared of her falling out, and I did not sleep well the first couple of nights because I see stitches in my near future. But, she LOVES her "big girl" bed, and therefore, I do too!
Here are some pictures. I will take more when I finish her room, but all I have now is a bed!
I keep looking at Hobby Lobby for wall stuff, lamps, and I need to decide on curtains, but I will post more pics when it is complete. For now, rest easy knowing she is loving her bed........see for yourself!
Melts my heart!

There is a Baby on the Way......
But NOT mine! Sorry if I gave any of you a heart attack. You should know by now we are perfectly happy and content with our princess. But....my childhood BFF Lindsey is getting ready to welcome her little bundle of joy into the world, and we cannot wait to meet little Ryker James!
I co-hosted a shower for her in Memphis recently, and it was so cute. Here are some pictures of everything set up before the mommy-to-be arrived.
We served Paula Dean's french toast, mini muffins, fruit, sausage balls, poppyseed bread, and cake. Here is a picture of the cake.
The cake was yummy, but the look was not what I was going for. The cake lady took it upon herself to make it a rectangle instead of a square, added some glitter and some extra little decorations on the bottom. K tried to take the off, but I was too scared he was going to mess up the cake. Also, the color was not the color blue I wanted, but oh well. It is over, and there is nothing that I can do about it now.
Here is a picture of Sarah, and the mommy-to-be. Sarah was one of the hostesses with her mom, and my mom was the other hostess. I did not get a group picture with my camera for some reason.
And here is Chloe, Lindsey, and me.
We had a blast and cannot wait to celebrate the birth of Ryker. Thanks Barbara for letting us use your house!!

Soccer Game #2
I have to be honest and tell you that I prayed A LOT for it to storm and hail this morning! Actually, just between 10:00 and 11:00. Why? Because we had a soccer game, and I just did not know if I could take the frustration of bribing Chloe with anything and everything imaginable just to stand on the soccer field.
Wouldn't you know that K would get a call from work at 8:30 this morning needing something. So he left and said, "I will be there when I get there." I was just thrilled! Just thrilled. I mean, I was the happiest person at that time! Remember, K is one of the coaches, so when he is not there I get to fill in. And I just love it! It did not take Chloe long to find the flags! Here we go, this is going to be a long hour.
I should mention that there were 2 people not there, which left us with 5. Kinley wanted nothing to do with soccer today, so that left us with 4. You need 4 players on the field. And guess what?? Chloe was included in that 4. This is going to be a fun time! But, CHloe was ready. She seemed so excited. She stood out on the field with the rest of her team ready to start the game. I did not think that I was going to be able to take pictures because I was sideline coach, but since we did not have any extra players on the sidelines, I snapped some!
A second into the game she came running over, "Mommy, I need to go potty!" I said "Okay, let's go real fast!" So we did. When we got back she found a cord that would help her play soccer if she help it real tight in her hands. Whatever works, you know!
A second later, she needed to go poopy. Any I should go ahead and confess I was screaming mad in my head! But we went, and we came back. She just got back in time for halftime, and it was a good thing because she was thirsty. But then the secons half started, and a soccer star was created.
K got to the game in time to watch and coach the second half. I did not get too many pictures because I was cheering so hard! She did not score any goals, I am not sure if anyone on our team did, but she did kick the ball. In fact one time she kicked the ball and her foot landed back on top of the ball and it tripped her. She fell on her back but got right back up! She was so cute. I do realize that she probably won't play like that again, but I was so happy for her. And to be totally honest, it was not like she played a good soccer game, but the fact that she was on the field makes me happy!

Easter Sunday
What a busy Easter weekend we had. Between my birthday, Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, and Easter Sunday we were just exhausted!
Easter morning started off with a smile!
She could not wait to see if the Easter Bunny had brought her anything.
Then it was time to get our Easter dress on. It was so cute. After she was dressed she wanted to go outside and take some pictures.
Then it was off to church, Bluegrass to eat, and over to K's grandmother's for another egg hunt! Here is Chloe waiting to hunt some eggs!
Then it was time. Since Chloe is the only baby/toddler, she gets to hunt eggs by herself. All the adults hunt together, and Chloe did not have to fight anyone for anything!
Then it was our turn. Here is a picture of Chloe helping K!
Then we headed inside to see what the prizes were for our eggs! Look what Chloe's prize is....
I hope everyone had happy hunting! Glad it is over until next year!

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny!
K was sick on the day we were supposed to go eat breakfast with the Easter Bunny, so Chloe and I went without him. I know K wanted to be there, but he was really sick. So, I would have rather him felt well on Easter then go to breakfast with us and be in a bad mood. You know what I mean?
So off we went! She had her Easter Basket and she was ready!
She loved the water "mountain!" We headed into see the Easter Bunny. I was not sure how she was gonna be. She loved him!
After visiting the bunny in his cottage she got a balloon bunny made to match her dress. She was very specific that she wanted purple to match her dress! I am sure glad she had purple or someone would have been UPSET!
Then we headed up for some food! Chloe was not really interested in eating because she saw live bunnies outside, but she did sit at the table for a few minutes.
And then she went to see that bunny!
Then the water "mountain" was calling her name......AGAIN!
Sure baby, dive on in.....it's perfectly clean and safe! After playing in the water it was time for THE HUNT 2010! She was ready!
She's got her game face on!
On your mark, Get set, GO! And believe me, the lady that said those words took her job WAY to serious!
She did well. I like to tell myself that she found the golden egg. But in reality, they all won a box of chalk, which I may or may not have thrown away because I was sick of looking at eggs, and it was in the bag with them. I did not realize this until it was too late.
After the big hunt we headed inside to decorate a cookie. It was so cute how they had everything set up! Here she is working so hard to get her cookie just perfect!
And here is her final product!
YUMMY!
