1st Christmas Program!

Well, I was just so excited, and so was K. I cannot tell you how happy I was when Chloe's daycare sent home words to "Let It Snow", "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer", and "Walking in a Winter Wonderland", and asked us to practice these songs with our kids at home.

Granted, some of these songs seemed a bit difficult for 2 year olds (except Chloe, she is a genious!), but the fact that SHE WAS GOING TO GET TO SING IN A CHRISTMAS PROGRAM made my heart explode with joy!

So day by day we would try to practice her songs. She was not really interested unless she had the idea herself. Kind of reminds me of my husband, but she sure was cute. A couple of weeks before the program the daycare decided to scratch "Walking in a Winter Wonderland." I am glad they realized that was a bit much for our little geniuses.

Some of the cute things Chloe did when practicing was say "All of Rudolph's Friends" rather than "All of the other Reindeer." K and I thought that was cute. She also did jazz hands when singing "Let it Snow!"

So it is finally the day of the program, and I am ecstatic. So is K. He cannot wait. And guess what? Cribby put a present for Chloe under the tree. In case you have not been reading the blog, Cribby is our Elf on the Shelf!

A real Rudolph! How fitting since she was going to be belting it out later on that night, or so we had hoped! Here is our happy family before our Big Night Out!

We decided to make it a special night for her. We asked her what she wanted for dinner, and for some reason she wanted green beans and biscuits. It was funny because she does not like green beans or biscuits! But we headed to Cracker Barrel because what my baby wants, my baby gets. Not really, but I just wanted to say that. Baby wants lemons, Baby gets lemons! What movie is that from???

Anyway...... she did not eat green beans, or biscuits. But, she did eat a grilled cheese sandwich and applesauce and was so happy! After dinner, we headed to the program. We took Chloe to her teachers and claimed out front row seats that were reserved for us, and I will tell you why in a minute!

When it was time for the Starfish, that is what they call Chloe's class, they all walked on stage! My heart was pounding, and I had tears in my eyes with happiness. She was so darn cute. Immediately she noticed there were A LOT of people there and she was looking everywhere for K and I. I had given K strict instructions not to wave to her because I thought she may want to run off of stage and sit with us. But, when I saw how hard she was looking we waved, and so did she. It calmed her to see us, and it calmed me that she knew where we were.

And the music started.........

And that is what she did the WHOLE time. She didn't cry. She didn't sing. She smiled occasionally, and she rocked back and forth occasionally. But in my eyes, she stole the show!

And, this is why we got reserved seats!

Look familiar?

Yep, it's K. And Chloe has no idea!

After the program we went to the Candy store and CHloe picked out pink M&M's. What a perfect ending to a perfect night!

What a fun night! She does look precious, and I love that she stood there just like that, looking cute the whole time even though she wasn't singing! Alexee's MDO school did a program and we got a kick out of her moving up and down the steps. She sang a little, but mostly just moved around. They're so funny!
