Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny......

Well, it is that time of year again. You know, the time that the adults dread and the time the kids love. Well, I am definitely not looking forward to getting into a bathing suit, BUT I cannot wait to put sweet Chloe in her many bathing suits. Last year, we went to the pool just about every single day. She loved it. She napped there, ate there, swam there, and did EVERYTHING there! We will see what this year has in store for us. In two weeks, TWO WEEKS, the pool opens and I cannot wait to get her in the water! Her personality has changed so much since last summer, so I cannot wait to splash around with her. So, let's take a walk down memory lane.......

This is Chloe last year on opening day of the pool......isn't she adorable!

This is personally my favorite suit she sported last year. I truly believe, animal print makes everything better!

Now....fast forward to Chloe's Swim Suit Fashion 2008. This is what you will be seeing her in this year!

Won't she be cute!!!!!  Stay tuned and I am sure that you will see her modeling these suits throughout the summer!

You can NEVER have too many shoes!

Last week while I was getting ready for work I noticed that Chloe had "disappeared."  I heard her talking but I did not see her around her toys.  When I walked towards my bathroom I noticed that she had found not only my closet, but she had dug to the bottom of my clothes to find my oh so very precious hot pink high heels!  She crawled around with them as if they were hers.  I assume this is fitting because at 14 months, she has approximately 15 pairs of shoes..... that she wears.  She has countless shoes that don't have a place in her wardrobe.  Here she is playing with my pink high heels.......

And since she takes after her momma, and her love for shoes, we picked her up some trendy little sneakers at Payless the other day!  Here she is showing them off!

She was also talking on the telephone to her friends telling them about the "Buy One Get One 1/2 Off" sale at Payless. You might as well save some money and get two pairs...... Chloe's words, not mine!

No Pain, No Gain

It just hit me yesterday when I was going to pick up Chloe from school that it has been over a month since they have called me and told me I had to come and pick her up within the hour because she had a fever.  Let me preface this by saying, that she rarely acted sick, she just had puss constantly coming out of her ears from an ear infection.  This caused a major problem, because when she had a fever she could not go back to school fro 24 hours.  And she was not even contagious!!!!!   I took her to the pediatrician at least once a week for months....it gets expensive.  Finally when she reached her 1st birthday, and this continued, they agreed to send her on the the ENT, Dr. Cate.  On my birthday, April 2, she had tubes put in her ears, and would you believe me when I tell you, not an ear infection in sight since then.  Now I realize that I am jinxing us by saying that, but I cannot believe how much the tubes have helped her.  Chloe was a great patient, and although she was miserable when she woke up from the anesthesia, as soon as she got home and in her bed, all the pain went away.  She has been perfect ever since.  Because I am "psycho mom" I have a picture to commemorate the day that Chloe's ear infections disappeared......at least for the time being.

Just a Little Snack!

Today I took Chloe to Baskin Robbins after I picked her up from daycare.  She loved every last bite of her kiddie scoop of vanilla ice cream.  She was not even that messy with while eating.  Since we were there, I decide that I might as well treat myself to some chocolate ice cream so that Chloe was not eating alone.  We had so much fun, and because she had never been to Baskin Robbins before, I had my camera to capture the moment.  Before I show her eating her 1st of "31 Flavors", I thought it would be nice to show everyone a picture of Chloe last year on May 1.  Oh, how she has changed!!

And here she is today, enjoying a little ice cream.

I hope that we have many more trips to the "ice cream parlor!"

Life is a Party....

On Saturday it was just us girls at home. K and some boys from Church were on a men's retreat, so Chloe and I had a day filled with sleeping, eating, shopping, and partying. A girl's dream! We missed K a lot, but we had fun together, and could not wait to see him on Sunday. Here is a picture of K on his men's retreat. Camo was the look of the weekend, and I might mention that my husband was the leader on the fishing excursion. WAY TO GO!

Also, while K was on his men's retreat he got to enjoy some rapelling. I am glad that he was able to do this because he said that I have become a "scaredy cat" and that I used to do stuff like this with him, but not anymore. His words not mine. Our friend Rusty captured some pictures of him so that the world can see him trying to kill himself by jumping off a cliff backwards. Thankfully, he survived.

While the guys were off camping and pretending to me "Manly Men", Chloe and I were partying.  Here are some pictures of Chloe at her friend Laurel's 6th birthday party.  She had fun with all of the "Big" girls, and loved riding on the 4-wheeler with Talon.  After the party, Chloe was exhausted and slept all the way home, and went to bed early for the night.  She was worn out!

Welcome To Our Life!

Hey Ya'll! Thanks for stopping by our blog. I am new to the whole blogging world, but I hope to update our family blog often. K and I have been married for 5 years, and 14 months ago we welcomed our first child, sweet baby Chloe. She is our little princess, and not a day goes by that we do not thank God that she is in our lives. She has added so much joy to our family, and looking back, it is hard to imagine her not being a part of us. We hope that you stop by and say hi, and catch a glimpse of our fun filled life of "Pigtails & Pearls!"
