Last Soccer Game and Awards

Praise the Lord, soccer is over. I am very glad that I gave Chloe the opportunity to play soccer, but I am also very glad that it is over. You see, she did not really love to play soccer. She liked being there, but she really did her own thing. So when it was the day of the LAST SOCCER GAME, K and I were thrilled to death. You know what it meant??? No more soccer practice! Now don't get me wrong. I love extracurricular activities. I am not one of those mom's that stresses because I have to take Chloe to soccer, or dance, or whatever. In fact if it were up to me she would be in something every night of the week. I think it is great for kids to have activities, but K says "Heather, she is only 3." So I say okay, and continue to plan for the future!

Back to soccer. Did I mention we had our last game?

It looks like she is playing doesn't it?? She isn't! She was actually running across the field to talk to me. I figured that I might as well snap a few pics while she was running, and on the field!

Then her and Kinley decided they needed a break! They were worn out!

Then they decided to run back across the field together holding hands. They went back and forth many times!

And then they were thirsty!

Annalee, Chloe's best friend, showed up at the end of her game. Chloe was teaching her and Kinley her dance that she learned in ballet.

After the game we went inside for a Pizza Party. We needed to celebrate her soccer success this year!

She was very excited about pizza. In fact, this may have been the highlight of soccer season!

Her team name was displayed proudly in the middle of the table...

And what would an "End of the Year" celebration be without an award? She got a new soccer ball!

I am sure that ball will be very handy next season...HA!

Little Miss Strawberry

Well we live right down the road from the Strawberry capital of the world! The big city of Portland, TN. Every year they have a strawberry festival, and we took Chloe. This is her second time going, and I am glad we went. It was not too much fun, and we were not there that long, but I am still glad we went.

Here she is eating her ice cream while at the "Strawberry Carnival" as she called it.

The most important thing to get while we were there was strawberries. And we got them!

I came right home and made a strawberry shortcake with our fresh strawberries. Guess what? I kinda like it better with the frozen ones from Kroger! How crazy is that? I am sure they are not as healthy, but oh well! However, Little Miss Strawberry had fun, and that is all that matters!

HHS Alumni game 2010

Every year K plays in his High School Alumni game. It is a great time, and we always have fun watching him. Here he is with Chloe before the game out on the football field. She thought that this was so cool!

Here are the alumni that played in the game....or should I say showed up to the game. Most of them are old by now!

Here are some pictures of K during his game. I should not before I get in trouble that he was not #30, he was #33. I repeat, he was NOT #30, her was #33. But for the purposes of the Alumni Game, he was wearing #30.

After that hard work, K needed a break!

Here is K hanging out with his best girl at a break in the game.

And then Chloe decided she wanted to play her own football game!

And what would a day be like without a Route 44?

We cannot wait until next year's Alumni game. Another year older!

Mother's Day Tea

Chloe's daycare had a Mother's Day tea for all the mom's. I was so excited, because I knew that they would have cute little art projects that they made for us, and I love to see all the stuff Chloe makes at school. Yes, it all looks very similar with her scribble, but it is cute scribble. Chloe was excited about her party to, because after all, it was a party!

She was very adamant about the fact that we would be taking her picture before we left for school that day, so here are a few of the shots she posed for!

When I Dropped her off at school she was like, "Oh, Mom.....don't come back until it is time for the party, okay??" She is so funny. I got there in time for the party, and she was so excited. The kids were coloring a "Happy Mother's Day" tablecloth, and they each had their special spot for their very own artwork.

And here is Chloe proudly displaying the artwork that she made me!

Here is what she gave me, and I will treasure them forever....

In case you cannot read the "My Mom is Special Because...." questionnaire, I will type it out, because it is my most favorite thing! Chloe's teachers asked her some questions, and here are her cute little answers.

1. My Mom's name is Heather.
2. She is special because has pretty dress.
3. I like it when my mom get me dressed.4. My mom can do many things. I think she's best at getting me new clothes.
5. My mom has a pretty smile. I like to make her smile by seeing my daddy.
6. My mom is pretty as a flower.
7. My mom is smart. She even knows how to work.
8. I'd like to tell my mom I love you!

After she gave me my presents it was cookie time!

When she is older and hates me, I will remember this day forever!

Nashville Flood

Well, in case you have not heard, our city flooded! It flooded really bad. Roads wer closed, houses destroyed, people were dead. It was so sad. Chloe and I did drive around a bit the day after and we snapped a few pictures of the park that she plays at. This is also the same place she feeds the ducks.

My company went to other parts of Nashville the Wednesday after the flood and helped people tear down their houses. It was exhausting, but I only had to do it one day. These people are doing it day after day, and they have lost all of their personal belongings.

We were very lucky that they only thing we got was a leak and loss of power.

Happy Birthday Connell!

Chloe was invited to Connell's birthday party and she was so excited about it. In fact, she is excited about everything that involves going to her "Daddy's Church!" She does not understand that K is not the only one that goes to church there.

Connell's party was in the same area that Chloe's birthday party was, and she had a blast. Here are a few pictures of her playing in the playroom.

Before we went to eat pizza and have cake we took a group picture of all the kids.

We headed in and Chloe got her seat. Mrs. Shannon was passing out pizza, and she told all the kids to put their finger on their nose if they wanted pepperoni, and on their head if they wanted cheese. Guess what Chloe wanted???

If you guessed pepperoni, you are right!!

After pizza and cake it was time for balloons and face painting. Chloe chose to get a cupcake on her face.

And she got Mrs. Shannon to make her a pink dog. Actually she requested a pink pig, but I am pretty sure that was not an option, so she was totally fine with the dog!

We had so much fun! Thanks for inviting us to your party Connell!
